Merchandising: RealTimeBattle
The Main Design
For the launch of RealTimeBattle’s merchandise, we focused on two EPs: «Messages from the Satellites» and «Itoshii.» The first EP is represented by a sun with orbiting planets, symbolizing the songs that have surrounded the composer over time, finally coming to light. The second EP, «Itoshii,» carries a deeper emotional concept. The artwork features an empty samurai mask and a small bell. The mask represents the emotional barriers we place upon ourselves, as love is one of the most difficult emotions to navigate. The bell, delicate yet powerful, resonates with the slightest movement, symbolizing how love, even in its stillness, can make its presence felt.

Custom Labels
In the composer’s previous band, people often noticed the t-shirt designs before the music itself. Anticipating the same reaction for RealTimeBattle, we decided to embrace this reality with humor. Instead of traditional size tags, each t-shirt and tote bag features a unique copywriting message that plays on this tendency. With five sizes, one tote bag, and two designs, we created 12 different labels—each design and each size having a distinct phrase. These witty, self-aware messages remind wearers that they’re not just holding a cool piece of clothing but supporting a music project with a deep artistic vision.

Overall Packaging Concept
To enhance the experience, all merchandise is vacuum-sealed. This ensures maximum preservation of the garments and adds an exclusive and refined touch to the unboxing process. Together with the unique labels, this approach transforms each piece into something more than just merchandise—it becomes a curated, collectible item. The entire process is crafted by hand, with no external production involved. Everything is a 100% personal and independent project, making each item truly special.

The project includes various close-up shots showcasing the 12 custom labels. These detail shots highlight the playful, ironic nature of the phrases, ensuring that even those who initially focus on the design will eventually realize they are holding something tied to a musical project. The idea is to blend fashion and music seamlessly, making each t-shirt and tote bag a statement piece with depth.
